Community Building

We serve over 500 families annually at our Family Day BBQ held every August. Free tangible resources (such as school supplies and health kits) are provided in addition to educational materials and other free services.

"I’ve been to the last few years of AMU’s family day, and it never disappoints. I look forward to watching the youth perform, being exposed to new vendors, and getting to try their specialties. This being the 10th year, I was excited to see what’s going on!"

"I am a single mom and as my kids were playing I was able to talk with PG&E, real estate and even WIC at the event. All my needed resources were in one place."

“I value the fact that this event keeps getting bigger and bigger! That we all still remember JT and all he did while he was here. How much all of the members value family. I enjoy how AMU shares their Culture and are always caring in what they do outside of it. That there is no violence at these events. I didn’t have to worry about my granddaughters because I knew we were among FAMILY!"

Support through grief

We've supported over 300 individuals and families in the last 2 years through grief and healing events- providing culturally relevant strategies and tools for navigating grief while also connecting community members to mental health clinicians for additional ongoing support.

Some participants have shared...

"Healing in and with my community. I can identify my grief but don’t have many people to lean on who have the capacity to hold me."

"I’m happy to have a safe space to enjoy with my family and friends while learning about mental health and grief."

Our work has led to:

  • Increased Access to Mental Health Support: Hundreds have received culturally grounded counseling and wellness resources.
  • Higher Education & Career Opportunities: We have provided youth with mentorship, scholarships, and job readiness programs.
  • Healthier Communities: We have directly addressed chronic disease prevention and healthcare access.
  • A Stronger Safety Net: We offer grief support, emergency assistance, and direct help for families in crisis.
  • Renewed Cultural Pride: We help families embrace their roots and traditions as a source of strength and resilience.

At All My Usos, we do more than provide services. We restore hope, rebuild confidence, and lift each other up.

Testimonials

"What I valued and loved most about the All My Uso event was the feeling that I wasn’t just walking into a room full of people—I was walking into the presence of my ancestors. It felt like every single one of them was standing in the gap for me, holding space so I could finally feel at home, at peace, and whole. It wasn’t just an event; it was like stepping into a living prayer, where love, culture, and belonging surrounded me on every side. For once, I didn’t have to wonder if I fit in. I could just breathe and know that I was exactly where I was supposed to be."

"ALL MY USOS says it all in their name. It’s another saying for NO ONE GETS LEFT BEHIND. They are here to help everyone whether you need food shelter guidance education but most of all they do it for the CHILDREN. I recommend everyone to reach out to them for any assistance. If they don’t have the answers, they will get you one."
